Welcome
Hello, we are the student council for Hawthorn Middle School South. Our charter is to represent the student body for all grades at our school. We discuss student issues and upcoming school events. We also plan, set up, and work at the events at our school.
We conduct sales to raise money for the school and raise funds for many charities.
Want a Free T-Shirt?
Each year the 8th grade class has its members design a promotion T-shirt. The design can be hand drawn or computer generated. Three designs will be chosen from the designs submitted. On May 5th, the 8th grade class will then select the winning design. Designs should be turned in to Mrs. Catellano in room #241 by May 2nd.

T-shirt and Sweatshirt orders will take place May 6th through May 12th. The Winner of the contest will receive a FREE T-shirt or Sweatshirt.
Specifications:

Design should be on 8 1/2 by 11 paper

Only use TWO colors (usually Blue & Yellow) 		Ice Cream and Smoothies
Remember that after school on Fridays you can buy smoothies for $4.00. Soon, you will also be able to buy ice cream on Mondays and Wednesdays for $1.00.
MEETINGS

Executive board meetings take place each Wednesday at 7:00. General meetings are at 7:30, please check in with homeroom first. The Food Committee meets on Fridays at 7:00.

STUDENT STORE

The Student Store has many new items and these items change weekly. It carries school supplies, breakfast and afternoon snacks, birthday cards and small gift items. The store is open before and after school. Student council members often volunteer to work at the store. Stop by and say hello!

Charity Based Organization

MIDDLE SOUTH'S STUDENT COUNCIL IS A CHARITY-BASED ORGANIZATION. ALL STUDENTS HELP RAISE FUNDS OR DO ACTIVITIES THAT HELP BETTER THE COMMUNITY. IT HOLDS FUNDRAISERS, EARNS MONEY THROUGH STUDENT STORE SALES, SPONSORS ACTIVITIES FOR 6TH GRADE, AND HOLDS DANCES FOR 7TH AND 8TH GRADERS.
